Innovation Awards 2025
The Dutch greenhouse horticulture sector faces various challenges, making continuous innovation essential. With the HortiContact Innovation Award, HortiContact aims to provide a platform for innovations within the sector.
During previous editions, all innovations were showcased in the Tunnel of the Future. Prior to the event, online voting was available, and visitors could also cast their vote during the trade show using their Smart Badge. The innovation with the most votes received the audience award.

First place:
Source Controle | Source AG

Second place:
Backie Slug Trap | Houweling Group & Studio Catch
The Backie slug trap is designed to capture slugs without the use of chemical pesticides or slug pellets. Its specific shape and contents lure and trap slugs in the cut cymbidium cultivation, significantly reducing the damage caused by slugs to a minimal level.
Third place:
Model SE450W | Sprinkler Energy
The Model SE450W from Sprinkler Energy is expected to help greenhouse horticulture businesses achieve a gas savings of at least 60%. This innovation utilizes the energy stored in water reserves at cultivation sites, such as water basins, silos, or ponds, which often contain thousands of cubic meters of water.

Signify - Philips Greenpower led toplighting force dynamic
De nieuwe Philips GreenPower LED toplighting force dynamic is de ideale lamp voor telers die op zoek zijn naar flexibiliteit. Met deze module heeft de teler de optie het volledige vermogen van de module te gebruiken voor maximaal PAR-licht, ofwel een gedeelte hiervan te gebruiken voor 250 μmol/s verrood.
Sorma group - Vol automatische (trostomaten) combinatie weger
Binnen de Sorma Group is de CP810 VW tros tomaten combinatie weger ontwikkeld, waarmee bedrijven veel arbeid kunnen besparen in de pak hal, ruimte kunnen besparen in de pak hal en ook een beter gewicht kunnen maken in de verpakking.
Jenbacher - Jenbacher WKK
Jenbacher WKK is klaar voor waterstof. De eerste motoren op waterstof worden medio 2023 in Nederland geinstalleerd, een unicum in de wereld. De waterstof motoren zullen ook toepasbaar zijn in de glastuinbouw op 100% waterstof of als mengbedrijf.
