HortiContact 2021 moved to 2022

GORINCHEM – The upcoming edition of the greenhouse horticulture exhibition HortiContact, which was planned on 23, 24 and 25 February 2021 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem, will be moved to 22, 23 and 24 February 2022. Event organizer Easyfairs has decided this in consultation with its exhibitors. “We have noticed in the past period that more and more exhibitors were concerned about their participation because of the corona developments. It is our job to listen to the horticultural sector and to think along with them. For that reason, we have made an inventory among our current exhibitors with regard to the continuation of HortiContact on the current date or a movement to 2022. This shows that a large majority choose to postpone their participation to 2022. Therefore is decided, in good consultation, to move the event.”, says Mariëlle Schonewille on behalf of HortiContact.

Schonewille: “We were well prepared to be able to organize HortiContact in a safe and responsible manner, but the corona situation changed rapidly in recent weeks. At the moment there is even a ban on events. We fully understand that, because we need to get this virus under control as soon as possible. We also expect that the measures aimed at minimizing personal contacts and travel movements will remain in force for the time being. These measures cause too much concern about the arrival of visitors and the health of the exhibitors, visitors and own employees. This also changed the sentiment among the exhibitors and we understand that better than anyone. That is why we have jointly decided to move the exhibition to 2022.”

The next edition of HortiContact will be on 22, 23 and 24 February 2022 in Evenementenhal Gorinchem. The exhibition counts more than 400 exhibitors every year, who are visited by approximately 14,000 professionals from the Netherlands and abroad. HortiContact is therefore the largest network and knowledge event for greenhouse horticulture in the Netherlands.
