Do you want to dose hydrogen peroxide or other liquid products by a safe and controlled dosing computer? This is now possible with the new microdosing solution from CH2O. In the past year, CH2O has developed a small dosing solution that can control up to three dosing pumps on three different irrigation systems. Each pump can dose its own fertilizer or water treatment agent at the desired speed and with the right concentration. In addition, each pump is individually protected and everything is centrally controlled from one dosing computer.
“We noticed that during the first tests of dosing (stabilized) hydrogen peroxide, our dosing unit was so often out of malfunction. This was caused by broken down hydrogen peroxide that resulted in large air bubbles in the system, as a result of which our system no longer detected any flow. In current greenhouse operations, this regularly happens with standard dosing pumps. That was a great challenge to develop a well-functioning automated solution, “says Wilfred Vijverberg of CH2O who has been appointed as manager of the Dutch water treatment company since 2013.
Protected against overdosing
In mid-2019 a lot of field tests were done and CH2O came up with this perfect solution. There are currently around 15 working dosing systems in different greenhouse applications. Vijverberg: “A very important aspect is that the entire system is protected against overdosing, so that a grower is also insured. With a simple dosing pump you are not insured when something bad happens and that is often quickly forgotten. ”
